Title I

Title 1 Program

AWE is a School Wide Title 1 School, which means all teachers are Title 1 teachers and all students are Title 1 students. Title 1 is federally funded and the amount of funds received are based on the school's free and reduced lunch program.

AWE Title I also includes 1 school Interventionist, certified in the area Elementary Education, Angie Baylis.  Title 1 works with struggling students by using research-based interventions to improve student learning.  Title I funds also provide tutors that assist students in the area of reading and math.

AWE Title I Mission

To provide academic assistance to students through researched interventions and instruction through whole group, small group, or individual instruction enabling them to achieve academic success.
